Many of Charles De Lint's short stories were published in anthologies and magazines before being gathed together in his short story collections. He also publishes a short story in chapbook format for his friends and family every Christmas. Some of these works have been publishes in a form accessible to the public. For example, the short story "A Crow Girls Christmas" that appears in Muse and Reverie was originally a chapbook.
